Photography Across Time
Photography is a wide and general term in the world of today. There have been more than enough reasons why people should take photographs in almost all the stages of life. It is the nature of human beings to not only take photographs everyday but also in almost every place they visit. There has been an increase in the market of photography industry. You should know that photography is basically the making of images. These images are made either by using chemical or electronic means. Electromagnetic method of making images uses light sensors whereas chemically a film is used. Above is a brief explanation of the process of making an image.
The photography industry has developed over the years since it was first launched in the early 1800’s. In this time; the ordinary camera was invented. the digital camera was the evolved and became most commonly used in the 1990’s. From 2000 onwards, the mobile industry began to storm their phones with the popular back camera for everyday photography. Photography has become a hand thing since then. People take photographs in different places using their phones which is unlike the old times.
The ordinary film cameras used chemical processes to make images. The film was a very important part of the ordinary camera. The film was made to be light sensitive so that exposure to direct sunlight would damage it. A light proof, plastic tin, cylindrical in shape was made to protect the film from destruction by direct light contact. An ordinary film camera had simple procedures of operation. With a ready image you are only required to press the capture button. In explanation, the button would move the shutter speed to slowly open allowing light to enter through the lens. Which therefore makes the chemicals in the film to react causing the image in front of the camera to be saved. The film is then turned to negatives by adding chemicals in a machine that best does this work. Considering your choice of shape and size, photos are produced.
With increased technology, most of the digital cameras have been built to appear as the old cameras but function differently. As compared to ordinary film cameras, digital cameras do not have films. Digital cameras work with the use of electromagnetic radiators. While replacing the film, electromagnetic equipment in a digital camera helps in collecting light and turning them into electronic signals. All the parts of a digital camera contribute to the overall performance of making a good image.
Photography has been very important to the world of today. The people and things that matters to us can easily be capture by the use of photography. Communication especially in social media has been enhanced by the photography industry. Last but not least, photography has offered a wide range of employment to different people in the world.
